Ok the brakes on my friends 98 celica gt are weird... before we replaced the pads, there was a nasty grinding sensation, even after they got new pads on there, the nasty grinding thing is still there... the rotors are new and good shape... a friend of mine looked at the calipers and said the master cylinder may be going out... what you guys think?

i dont, my friend does, i'm doing this for him because he doesnt know how to spell or type very well... i'm guessing clips, the one that doesnt sound right is the one missing the clips... but could it be the master cylinder?
