Ok so I drive a 94 hatchback and have seen a significant amount of rust form over the past winter and I decided im gonna try and fix it myself and was wondering if anybody has any tips on how I should go about this and what tools and supplies im gonna need.

Supersprynt is right, It really depends on the damage so far.

If it isnt too bad, then you should be able to sand it down, then prime it to prevent farther damage. Even cheap-o prime will work. Not reccomened that you get the cheapest crap you can buy, but the cheapest crap you can buy will still work; and would be better than nothing.

If it's rotted thru, then your going to have to cut it out, get new metal, and fit it in. Or buy a new piece if its a fender or something... it's going to suck if it's your quarters, unless you like welding... tongue.gif
