I starved my engine of oil and now i spun my rod bearing
 ....does anybody know how much or what u have to do to fix it?

If done right it wouldn't be considered half assed in anyway. You are doing what would be done in a rebuild. If I knew why it happened, and the journal was fine I would not hesitate to do it that way. There is no difference between doing it that way or on an engine stand except the personal comfort level.
