Accident leads to discoveries..., Backed into another car and found more than I expected. pics. Options

Long story short I was stupid and backed into another car in my apartment parking lot. The other car had minor damage and I offered to pay to fix it but they didnt say anything because they were here illegally and didn't want to report it to the insurance company.

Anyway...

I looked at the damage on the outside and I cant determine how bad it is as I have very little knowlege of body work. Then I pulled away the trim on the inside and found this...


Looks like a previous accident, the repairwork looks bad but I have no clue.


This is the outside damage, looks bad to me but again I really dont know what im looking at.



So how bad is it? Going to be expensive to repair?

Looks like you just need the left rear tail lamp. Other than that the quarter panel can be pulled out and smoothened. The bumper isn't bad at all. After the body work just spray. As long as you don't have those creases you're golden.
