Was looking under the car today, and noticed my front pass wheel was splattered with what appeared to be mud. Upon further inspection it turned out to be grease of some sort (petroleum based smell).

Also can't you get those replacement boots from any auto parts store that have it cut in half with set screws to seal it back up. This enables you to change the boot and repack the grease without removing the axle from the hub or diffy.
You guys seen these things? Are there drawbacks [like they come apart on you or don't seal right etc.]?
