Was looking under the car today, and noticed my front pass wheel was splattered with what appeared to be mud. Upon further inspection it turned out to be grease of some sort (petroleum based smell).

Well I was wondering about the hybrid axle issue so I asked around in the F/I forum and was told that I could leave the inner w/ the spacer attached to the car. I would need to remove the outer where the 6 hex head bolts are and 3 bolts attaching it to the balljoint, and it would be a straight swap with a new reman st185 axle from there.
Please let me know if that is correct or not http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=57036 When I get another day off I will jack the car up and clean as much grease out as I can. I am not sure about the clamp and have not had a chance to check. I noticed the grase other day as I was cleaning up, but didn't have much time to do anything so I just snapped a few pics and posted. In the event that it is just a missing clamp, should I still need to worry about moisture inside the boot? I just don't want to take the easy way out and just change the boot, and find out in a month that my cv is bad and need to re-do it all over again...
