So since my boy friend owns a 6th gen and the first time I laid eyes on the car, I wanted one. I finally got the celica, but it had more issues than I thought. I boguht the car with both air bags deployed. Since my boy friend did the 7th gen steering wheel swap he had a spare steering wheel left over and we used the air bag assembly from that, but the passenger side air bag panel is still open and the air bag light is on. What can we do to get rid of that light? I really don't have money right now, since I used it all on buying my very own 6th gen. Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of this? Any way to disengage the air bag light? Or do I have to go out and buy a passenger side air bag? Please help.

there are two sensors in the front, that's what deploys your airbags... if the sensors are not pushed in, then the airbags will not go off, they MUST be replaced after the airbags go off in order to get them to work again, you have a few options... one is removing the bulb from the dash to keep it from coming on, unplugging the air bag ECU (battery must always be unplugged anytime dealing with airbags), or even maybe a fuse? i have no idea about an airbag fuse... i removed the airbags from my 6gc and i just took out the ecu sensors and all.... so i'm not sure about the fuse... good luck...
