I plan on getting 2.25in piping done and i'm able to get a good price since my buddy knows the owners of a muffler shop. They have a good reputation for their work but he said they don't do mandrel bending. Are mandrel bends important on exhaust piping?
Also I read that ebay mufflers and brand name mufflers sound alike but do they give the same performance gains? Thanks |

To be honest, you won't really feel any difference between mandrel and compression bent. Yes mandrel is smoother, but would you feel the difference? More than likely no.
The real difference between ebay and brand name is the stuff its made out of. The cheap ebay ones you see, don't really do the job the brand name mufflers do. Another thing about the ebay muffler, they are coated with stainless steel, not made out of stainless. -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer
