Okay, i've been searching and cant find anything to answer my question. I know this is probably a repost as i can see it being a common problem. Just point me to one of the links, but i cant find it using the search...
Deal is this: Bought the car, a month later the dude i bought it from, he found the remotes for the alarm. I believe it's factory... With the keyless entry and all. i found the prox sensor, but i cant find the "CPU" of the alarm. I need to find it so that i can re-program the remotes. ANyone know where it is? And how to get to it? Pics would be great!! -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. I can call my guy at Toyota and he can walk you through the diagnostics of it. You are correct. When I open up the remote control I can see a removable IC which I think was tuned to a specific frequency that matches witht the alarm ECU. Maybe you need to finid out which frequecy ur ECU is tuned to and retune the IC or get a replacement or something. The hole on the ECU is probably just for resetting the ECU ifself, not retuning. -------------------- ![]() 98% completion --- aaRon |
