i am and wow is it slow. i can uderstand working maybe the mornign which i was surprised and was busy all morning but ater about 12:30 im lucky to see 1 person every hour or so. they day is just dragging on this isnt ne fun so those of u who got the day off enjoy it and and spend some time with your family cause working on a holiday is no fun at all >_<

Wait - you work at a porn shop? Unless you wear gloves and a body condom to work everyday that's just nasty. Think about it - everytime someone touches those Items it's before during and after they're waxing their sh*t. Then you touch it and you've got their sh*t on you, several customers aday, etc. You get hazardous duty pay for this? or do you get close to your states minimum wage? I'd hazard to guess the second one is true.

Actually I am getting $11 an hour now (which still isn't much, but my job is easy and I have health benefits). We go through so many bottles of hand sanitizer it isn't even funny. And when people return anything (Because most places do not warranty their adult movies) I toss on some gloves. We just sell adult movies and used general movies though, we don't have arcades and crap. If anyone grabs themselves or even adjusts themselves, I kick their asses right out of the store and they are never to return. I kick people out just for going back in the porn part and not buying anything, just because we have signs up saying "Serious Buyers Only". Some say it is mean, but you wouldn't walk into Jack in the Box or McDonalds just to look at the menu and leave without purchasing anything, right? If you are going to buy porn or even look, you have an agenda. We are not a place to catch a boner and then go home to the gf or wife. Plus how much we make does affect hours and such.
