QUOTE that sounds like an IAC problem. it's common on 98 Camry's (same engine) to have the same problem. especially after not having driven it for a long time the IAC will get stuck. give it gas to keep it running for a few mins then slowly let it down and see if it idles by itself. I used to have that same problem on my 5sfe, especially on a warm day. It would just die out unless i held the throttle for a sec, and then it would come to life and run fine.
