i can't really rmb... is it supposed to whine when you turn ur car onto the 'on' position?

QUOTE that sounds like an IAC problem. it's common on 98 Camry's (same engine) to have the same problem. especially after not having driven it for a long time the IAC will get stuck. give it gas to keep it running for a few mins then slowly let it down and see if it idles by itself. I used to have that same problem on my 5sfe, especially on a warm day. It would just die out unless i held the throttle for a sec, and then it would come to life and run fine. Oddly enough, I don't think manny ever had that problem since he owned it. Usually this describes a bad idle air control motor. They get clogged up with carbon. You may be able to clean it. |
