hi all. i just got an external hard drive for my lappy that i want to use as a back up drive. when i got the lappy the hard drive already had about 1/4th of it partitioned off as a backup. how do i un partition this and back up all the info to the external?
just incase anyone is wondering, i use windows XP and i have an HP Pavilion dv2000 and the external i got is a Western Digital 120 GB portable HD. any help is appreciated thanks -------------------- |

copying the oem partition is easy but I would leave it as it is and use the external for just extra space. how big is the 1/4 partition usualy OEM partitions are small around a few hundred mb. seems wierd it was be any larger. you can just copy that to the hd and reformat the partition and use it as a 2nd partition but I would leave it alone.
