hi all. i just got an external hard drive for my lappy that i want to use as a back up drive. when i got the lappy the hard drive already had about 1/4th of it partitioned off as a backup. how do i un partition this and back up all the info to the external?
just incase anyone is wondering, i use windows XP and i have an HP Pavilion dv2000 and the external i got is a Western Digital 120 GB portable HD.
any help is appreciated

Or you can just change the HDD over to Dynamic partitions, but that means you won't be able to go back w/o a reimage.

But like Creis said, I would leave it alone and use the external for space. If you want you can create a little partition on the external and install another OS. Dual boot FTMFW!
