hey guys/gals. i was wondering what some of you all know about newport news VA. my gf is going to possibly be taking a job with Lockheed Martin and wants me to move with her.
To be honest i dislike virginia with a passion (no offense to the natives) and i am already quite content in charlotte nc. I also heard of newport news being nicknamed "bad news" can anybody give me their personal opinion? Kiln Creek and the new downtown areas of NN are real nice. There is a pretty good mix overall, like Jazz said. I second the commentary on Yorktown. It's a much nicer setting, the actual town has its own little beach on the York river, it's peaceful, and it's not off-the-charts-expensive to live there. I'd seriously consider moving there if I weren't stuck with an overpriced house in Va Beach
