 Speedo Stopped Working, Help!? |

I washed my car yesterday because it was nice and warm,
and after washing it i noticed that the speedometer stopped working, it just sits and reds 0 MPH all the time, the rest of the gauges work perfectly, and i have checked my wires that go to the speed sensor on the outside top side of the gearbox, even cleaned the contacts to see if that was it, still nothing. has anybody had this problem before? --------------------  1994 GT Hatchback 1994 ST Coupe 1988 Corolla Wagon All-Trac 1999 Corvette 2008 Cobalt SS Turbo |

I've been screwing around with mine for some time. Harness shorted at back of instrument cluster. Instrument cluster needs replacing and I still haven't found the male connector I need. Toyota dealer will sell me nothing less than the ENTIRE dash wire harness. Hope your solution is easier. The only way to access unit is by dropping steering column.
