I was wondering... i believe my GT has the 6 speaker setup, and I wanted to know if keeping the factory amp would be a better option than using my headunit as my amp. This is because my headunit powers 50wattsx4channels, but i dont know if thats ok for the tweeters as well. Isnt the stock amp designed to take the 6 speaker setup however? does anyone have any opinion of what might sound better... using my headunit to power all the speakers or using the stock amp to? Thanks guys!

to use your amp, you need convert your head unit to line level and not amplified. Which is the same as keeping your factory headunit, or use the rcas.

Is there a specific reason you want to change the HU. Maybe it will help clear things up and give you definite answers.

dont, plug your HU directly to the amp, this will fry either or, you need a special adaptor or use the rca outputs from head unit.

I wanted MP3 but the OEM dont fit our cars, so i got a OEM indash 6 disc changer running two amps. with two 10 inch subs.

anything is possible.
