Please confirm...are there any other urethane sideskirt options other than OEM stock sides or the OEM TRD sides?
When you order OEM sides from the dealer, do you specify the color you need, or do they come unpainted? I bought some used, primed VIS Invader sides that seem to be quality, thick fiberglass, but my paint shop is trying to convince me that they will crack fairly easy, and the very small hairline cracks on the edges in them already will open up more after he paints them? He seems to think that Erebuni or Veilside make sides for us in Urethane, but I'm pretty sure that is NOT true, according to my research. The guy just preaches urethane and is not too fond of fiberglass. It is different when businesses give you there honest opinion, and possibly lose instant business. I was going to drop them off for paint today, but I walked away not sure if I should keep the invader sides. AND for those that have had Invader sides for a while, any major quality or cracking issues?? Thanks! ![]() This post has been edited by Celicav: Apr 15, 2008 - 6:07 PM |

I have fiberglass veilside skirts (same design) And to tell u the truth, if i were going to do it all over again, i'd def roll with urethane. My friend has a 99 sunfire with a full urethane kit. He hits everthing and it's still one piece. lol a couple of paint chips, but still one piece
but to answer your first question, I have had mine for 4 years, i molded em in, and i just had a wreck 2 weeks ago (front end). But the skirts are still strong as hell. So i can't say that fiberglass ain't durable. just don't bottom out and scrap em and u should be good |
