superhero or alien contact?, which could better save humanity? Options

which would rally humanity to admit its faults and live forever in peace? an indefatigable superhero to punish evildoers or extra-terrestrials that would dominate us and force us to get along with the threat of annhiliation (sp?)?

Although the above comments are mostly correct in my opinion, human nature is a little to uncontrollable/free sperited that any outcome would either not last or only cause a bigger divide.

although if I had to chose, it would be aliens, people would to quickly associate a super hero with a religious figure IMO and since religion (stated very loosely) is a huge source of differences in opinions that cause fights it would ultimately cause a bigger divide (one persons superhero is another’s arch enemy etc.) aliens I think would stand a better chance as they would probably have a technology far beyond our own that fighting them would prove useless thus joining them would be the only option.

so like the cathloics would be like "Go Jesus!!.... in .... those tight.... blue ..... spandex?"

Then the jews would scream "Ha-hah, your Jesus is gay"

And the Boudaist's would say "Narvianian crap, How'd he get so skinny?"
