Jack was an excellent Joker. By the looks of it, Heath seems to have done something great with the character also. I love the first Batman from 1989, but Batman Begins in no way makes a good prequel, and rightly so, it's not a prequel. It's a reboot of the entire franchise.
After Batman (1989) the franchise went south, real fast. Batman Returns was Ok, until the penguins started shooting rockets. But as soon as they repeated the whole, 2 villains per movie thing, and started lighting Gotham up in neon colors and putting nipples on Batman's suit and destroying the Batmobile every movie it couldn't possibly be taken seriously. It was atrocious. I want to vomit thinking about Batman forever, and Batman & Robin. Once you guys see the new trailer, heavily laden with Joker, you will be taken back by how great his portrayal seems to be.
