When i changed my oil the last time i overfilled it by about half a quart, this happend because much to my rage i spilled some so i overcompensated too much when i tried to put in a little over 4 quarts. The engine has been run for a few weeks like this, yesterday while the engine was warmed up i checked my oil and was shocked at how overfilled it was, i was wondering will this hurt anything? Thanks for the help

yeah, you ever take off your oil pan? if so you'll see that the baffle is right about at the full line on your dip stick, and when you remove the baffle you'll see the crank sits pretty much half an inch over that. and if i recall correctly the whole length between your full to empty marks it one qt. so that'll give you an idea of how much it is over and how deep your crank is sitting in oil, foaming it up causing all kinda of issues
