I'm trying to find a clean spot to mount the GPS, because I didn't want to use the windshield mount. What are your suggestions to how I can make it integrate with the car better? I was thinking a custom panel piece, but I've tried it before, and let's say it didn't turn out well.

Nothin big, but it's cleaner than the window mount.
I attached the "permanent mount" that came with the unit on the dash, and hard wired the power cord. ![]() Here's about what I see when I'm driving; doesn't sit in front of the window, and doesn't obstruct the clock or anything else.
