 3s-gte, what does it mean? |

i know for the honda engine, the engine names mean something. like the h22.
h- h series 22- 2.2 liter the same for bmw like the 325 3- 3 series 25- 2.5 liter i was just wondering what 3s-gte or 5s-fe, etc. means because it would be interesting maybe |

ok i think i can help you out here. this is what i have learned. somebodyh correct me if im wrong though
3s= type of head gte= turbo charged perfroamnce engine the same thing goes for any other toyota engine. the first 2 characters denote what kind of head it is, and the last charcters denote whether the engine is an economy engine or a performance engine. the last charcters go something like this. fe= economy engine ge= performance engine gze= supercharged performance engine gte= turbocharged performance engine hope that helps u out. anybody correct me if im wrong though
