Interested on plasma style, is it hard to install? Need special color LED? How about for Automatic Gauge? I installed them last week, and it was some kind of experiment... Will try to explain step-by-step. ---- First of all, connect the dials with eachother, and hook them up to 12v, to see if they work! ----- 1. Take out the cluster by un-screwing all the surrounding plastic. 2. Remove everything you need to, to get to the needles. Also the bezel surrounding the dials. 3. Note what gas-level you have, so you don't mess it up, and take of the needles. They need an equal press right up to slide off the needle under it. 4. I used super-glue under the plasma-dials, and glued them right over the originals. You will need the originals to keep the check-lights for door-openers and such, so don't remove them. The reason I used glue, was to make sure it holds tight down, and flat, and so it don't slows down the needle, or causes it to hang it up. 5. Take the cluster, WITHOUT mounting anything, and wire it up to any kind of 12v constant you want to. I wired it up to the big one in the back of the cluster, just measured 'til I found a wire than delivered power when I turned on my parking lights, and check if you get them to power on equally and so on. If you have done everything carefully, and right, you will be satisfied to mount it. 6. Put the ignition on, and press the needles back on. this is because when they get power on em, they will "move" into a zero-position, where you will put the needle on 0 km/h or mph, and the idle-rpm. that you should know what your car does, and the tank and heat-gauge. then turn off the power, and check if every needle moves smooth, and normally fine. 7. take it out, mount all the plastic, connect it back, and remount all the surroundings. That what was I did, and it worked fine. Pretty ****ty to think out everything myself, and learn the speedocluster the hard-way, but you will have to remove your needles to get them on. I can see no other option. The only thing that will be lit up by LED, are the needles. You will pick the colour you think matchs best. The dials are 100% lit up by themselves. Depending on the auto-gauge, you should e-mail info@custom-tuning.nl , they have been very good at e-mailing me about my order, and answers fast. |
