I was thinking to buy the C-1 replica hood for my car but i dont want to leave it carbon fiber black i wanted to paint match it to my car but is there anything special i need to do because its carbon fiber?

![]() there is no special paint or special sandpaper noob. You wetsand the surface (like any other body paint job) primer, sand, ect. its painted like anything else. You just can't sand too deep or you mess up the weave. different paper ![]() FYI: if you sand past the clearcoat you don't hit carbonfiber, you hit resin....if you sand the piece to oblivion and sand through the resin then you hit carbon fiber. so answer to the OP: NO there is nothing special you do to a carbon fiber piece over any other body work.
