Figured I'd share my fun story lol

So yesterday, I was in the company van giving a guest a ride to the super market when he asked, "Are you going to Van Halen tomorrow night?". Not really a strange question, but coming from a 6'3" black guy....a little weird. He said if I wait for him to get food at the store, he'll get me tickets lol. I figured he was just talking nonsense. kindasad.gif

So anyways, I waited...it kept me away from the hotel for half hour. He comes out with like 15 bags of food..... We drive back to the hotel and he has me pull around back to this 40' black bus.
He says, "Wait here...Dave is sleepin' inside." So he brings the bags in and has me write down my name. "Go to will call tomorrow and get your ticks man...enjoy!". smile.gif

Still wasn't too sure this guy was being real, but nonetheless...went to will call and got my ticks. So tonight I saw Van Halen!!! I was like 25' away from the stage and I saw the black guy who got me the ticks there....David Lee Roth's body guard. So that "Dave" sleeping in the bus behind my hotel was VH's front man. Lol...talk about an awesome weekend.... biggrin.gif

Some cell pics:

DAVID LEE ROTH!

that's freakin awesome man. how much would the tickets cost ya if you would have had to pay for em?

The price on each of the 2 tickets was 99.50...but usually the tickets sell out right away and the people sell them for more.

that is so cool and im glad they were that nice to you!

alot of bands are soooo cocky and arrogant, especially some of the older ones. its nice to see that they are still truely cool

Yeah, the guy was wicked chill and I'm so glad he pulled thru for me. I was standing at the will call window, handed the lady my I.D. and she's flipping thru the names and didn't see anything.... I was like NOOOOOO! Then she picked up a stack of envelopes and pulled one out with my name on it! lol greatest feeling biggrin.gif
