so i swapped out my engine and transmission this past weekend. the original was an auto 7a, and i put in a manual 7a. the manual originally did not have cruise, while the auto chassis did.
im thinking its possibly one of the connections from the auto shifter that look to see its in gear btw, cruise light comes on and stays on like always edit: spelling This post has been edited by stephen_lee: May 27, 2008 - 5:48 PM -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. alright, so this switch WAS the problem, and i now have cruise. i simply bypassed the cruise clutch sw. ill buy one soon.
its a blue plug attached to the clutch start sw wire. just short the two pins and you'll be fine or if thats not possible for some reason you could also, on the cruise ECU, short pins 2 and 14 together and youll get the "safe" signal anytime the cruise light is on.
