yea mate...seriously, soccer in north america isnt really considered a professional sport. Like in the UK, u guys got barclays, and eufa, scottish league. Here, we have like...small leauges for bigger cities..and MLS (majour league soccer). Soccer in Canada is starting to pickup more and more. But you really dont even hear about it on the sports reel in the news. Like soccer is one of the biggest sports for you guys over there, here, pretty much every big city has a hockey team, baseball team, football (american football) team...So its not like over there when you have a soccer team as one of the biggest (if not the biggest) team for the city.
But i agree, north americans playing soccer is a bit of a joke. I mean..common..look at the LA Galaxy....they paid a rediculus amount of $ to get David Beckham on their team, and they arent even doing that good. I mean, some no name kid from Toronto FC faked him out and scored without even trying. Soccer here if it ever does pickup is gonna be exactly like every other majour sport, its gonna be all about $.
