I'm trying to find a clean spot to mount the GPS, because I didn't want to use the windshield mount. What are your suggestions to how I can make it integrate with the car better? I was thinking a custom panel piece, but I've tried it before, and let's say it didn't turn out well.

^Or, going that route, I have my XM mounted on a stalk that attaches to the front seat frame bolt, where it's bolted to the floor. It could be modified for the GPS. Again, it's taking your eyes from the road, but depending on height it's not as much of a distraction.
