i know for the honda engine, the engine names mean something. like the h22.

h- h series

22- 2.2 liter

the same for bmw like the 325

3- 3 series

25- 2.5 liter

i was just wondering what 3s-gte or 5s-fe, etc. means because it would be interesting maybe

I saw what looked like an early 90's 240sx in Paris, but it said 200sx and 2.0 turbo. Do you think it was labeled like that because it had the SR20DET? I thought it was weird that it said 200sx because over here weren't they just 2 door Sentras?

thats where it gets weird. I wasn't too sure about it either so I did a quick search. turns out the S13 bodystyle 200sx in europe came with the CA18DET engine. the S14 on the other hand came with the SR20DET. now the 200sx in the US came with either the SR20 or a 1.6l engine. how confusing is that?
