Ok so I am curious bout something. I have a camry 5sfe in which I can run the same turbo setup you guys can with the execption of the downpipe. It has to be modified to go around my front engine mount. No big deal, but a pain. So I got to lookin online and noticed that some turbo kits for hondas have the turbo mounted with the exhaust exiting either side. Does it really matter which way the turbo faces? If it doesn't then I can take my spare B-series t3/t4 downpipe and modify it a hell of a lot easier and with less bends then the normal way all 5sfe turbo engine route theirs. Any help?

I think I know what you mean. The reason behind it is the cooling (intercooler/charge cooler) and/or routing to the inlet on the manifold. If you reverse (spin the turbo 180 degrees) then you would have a bit of a nightmare getting the pressurised air to the manifold via the cooler, also, this would incur more piping, more bends and more pressure drop.
