Didnt even notice":P

Well basically what dullness is, is thousands of tiny scratches reflecting the light all over the place, which is why you dont see much of a reflection and well it looks dull. So think about it this way, you wanna fill in those scratches, like when a scratchy surface is wet, it looks almost smooth. So you want something like wax that will fill those scratches in and make it appear smooth, Im sure polish is the same thing, but a buffer on the other hand I think may move the paint around and effectively eliminate the scratches, not 100% on that but I think thats how they work.

so wax or polish will be temperary but Im sure will work, just use a little elbow greace when you do it.

And what I think you did was use a rubbing compound that is used for tar and bug removal? Its abrasive so thats why it made your finish go dull. wink.gif
