 fuse question, idk if this is a dumb question |

this might be a really stupid question, idk
 ok i kno very little about electrical and wiring, but i know that when i plug in my radar detector to the cig lighter, it blows the fuse and my radio, clock and cig lighter doesnt work  . is this a problem with my car? or a bad radar detector? does this happen to anyone else?

that shouldn't happen! have you tried plugging in something else in the cig lighter?
don't know much about radar detector but it maybe needs more power then the fuse can handle....or the radar detector is just bad...  i donät think the car is the problem, but it's hard to know without testing some things first... |
