I have a straight pipe running from my ebay headers back (save for a stock catalytic which I'll be replacing or eliminating in the next couple of months), and although I haven't dynoed the car, the entire air flow kit (headers, 2.5" straight pipe, flowmaster carbon fiber muffler, K&N 57i kit) reduced my 0-60 speed from a pitiful 12 seconds to about 9 seconds. Once I put in a new intake manifold and cylinder head, I'm hoping to get in the 7-8 second range. From what I've seen from dyno reports, most OBD II aftermarket cats offer improvements of about 5 HP over stock, and -1 HP over a test pipe. So, I think it's worth the 1 HP to not get a ticket every time you go for a ride.
