 3sgte vs v6 swap, pros and cons |

Hey guys, been a long time since I been back. But I’m looking into the next celi so it’s about that time to get my plans together. I’ve done the 5sfte and loved it, but after losing it, I don’t think it’s a road I want to walk down again. I want some more power…300hp +. So that brings me to one of two options. Nicely worked out 3sgte or mildly boosted v6 or nicely worked out vs. with cams and so on….
What are the advantages and of these three possibilities? I remember a member and his dad was setting up a v6, not sure how it turned out (I’m going to hunt down that thread after I write this) but it was looking very promising. I won’t be doing the work myself, and my mechanic is very good and is willing to make it happen. So I’m really leaning towards the v6 right now. But will it be that much better than the 3sgte? Is it worth it? The car will not be a daily driver so that’s not a problem for me. Hope to hear from you guys on this…. |

3sgte = 93 octane
v6 = 89 octane  figured i throw that in.

The V6 if driven like the Camry was meant to should get slightly better mileage than the Camry the motor came from due to the weight. No 3S I know can boast that good of MPG.
