IRONY.....you pay more for 12oz of beer at a bar than you do for a gallon of gas....but you complain about the gas... ![]() I drink WAY less beer than my car does gas! Plus, who's paying that much for a beer at a bar? A cocktail is five-ish... Anyway, 4.19 today for 87. Blah. One of my coworkers (he's from Libya) was telling me that in Libya last summer, he payed TWELVE CENTS A LITER for gas. And that the gas there is so pure that it lasts longer and you get better mileage. When he went, he bought a Ford Windstar off eBay and had it shipped to Libya so he could drive it while he was there for 2 months, and then sell it when it was time to come home. TWELVE CENTS A LITER!!! That amounts to a little less than a dollar a gallon. And it's NOT because of the exchange rate or the dollar being weak. It's because they have SO much oil there that it's cheap as hell! -------------------- ![]() |
