I have noisy rear calipers. They seem to be loose and the brake pads rattle on curtain bumps. I have replaced everything possible I think?
The things I've replaced - struts, springs, strut mounts, sway bar linkage, sway bar bushings, (all this was before figuring out that it was the calipers rattling) And then the brake pads, calipers bolts, caliper sliders, and after all that I changed the calipers themselves and still the rattle. I was just hoping maybe someone would know what it could be other than what I listed if so it would be much appreciated. |

I had the same thing happen on my rear caliper.
Check the caliper clips like bitter said. I have the clips on but there was a single tab missing from one of the clips that made the clip vibrate creating a creaking noise when the brakes were applied. Buy some brake caliper grease from your local auto parts store. Apply to the clips, and to where the clips touch the caliper. |
