hey guys. i will soon be painting my aftermarket rims. right now i have my stock rims back on. i was wondering if i would be able to remove the tires by myself to make painting easier. the tires are basically bald so i was planning on deflating each tire and maybe start hacking away at it with an axe or something.
is this a good idea? anyone else done it? i know i can get it done at a shop but if its easy doing it myself i can save like 20 bux. |

if not for safety, do it to save your wheels, all the self removeal options post a risk of danaging the wheel, just have a shop do it.
as for mounting the new onces, thats easy no reason to have a shop do it ![]() http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...mCaX4qwOlrrCHDg could just hold the e-brake and burn them off, there blow and then just pull the peaces off.
