this might be a really stupid question, idk
ok i kno very little about electrical and wiring, but i know that when i plug in my radar detector to the cig lighter, it blows the fuse and my radio, clock and cig lighter doesnt work |

Okay;
1 - Test the cigarette lighter with a meter; make sure all reading are good. 2 - (with a good fuse) plug in detector wire (no Detector attached) see if it blows fuse 3 - If not then it's a problem with the radar detector itself; Pull it apart and look for shorts. 4 - If you find shorts then souder them out, take to radio-shack and replace.
