I just got my car back from the bodyshop last friday (finally after 1 year!!) but now my car is acting weird...

1st gear is ok, but when i shift to 2nd and 3rd, as i press the gas, it goes from 3000 to 6000 RPM instantly but the car doesnt accelerate THAT much... matter of fact, when i reach 60 km/h it doesnt wanna go faster, fast (it takes forever).

My GF father told me it was my clutch...

Is that true?

Thing is i wanna swap a 3sgte at the end of the summer (dont have all the money yet) so i was wondering if i could buy a 3sgte MR2 clutch, would it fit my 5sfe tranny? i know it aint the same tranny, but since they both fit the 3sgte i was wondering if maybe...? laugh.gif

clutches should run 2-300. I had to change my clutch too after getting my car (which was sitting also for a year, what a coincidence). And yes, make sure you replace the bearing, if your clutch is burning as you say it is already, chances are your bearing is ****ed and probably gonna melt if you keep ongoin like this for atleast a week or two.

Kinda off topic but seeing that you're from montreal, would you be interested in going to Sherbrooke for a big celica meet? It's on August 1st, look at the meet discussion thread for it.
