But Vegetarians live longer
![]() People aren't meant to be vegetarian. I've given up on beef and now stick to seafood and poultry only. Honestly, it's not that hard of a thing to do (like when I gave up on potato chips). After a few weeks, you don't even miss it. Weening off soda was hard too, but eventually it too became a distance memory of the past. As a result, I've lost and kept off a good ~10 pounds and saved more $$$ to spend on my cars. As far as going too far with being green, it drives me absolutely nuts when I see someone just toss an aluminum can in the garbage. I mean, is it REALLY that hard to walk two more steps and put it in the recycle bin that is RIGHT NEXT to the trash bin? Seriously. And please don't say that it's just ONE can. That attitude multiplied by tens of millions people equals tens of millions of cans. And the energy saved by recycling just one single can is enough to power a TV for 2 hours. Think about that. If anything, it's people's attitudes towards being "green" that is the culprit for global warming. And you can't really fault people for worrying for their own and not giving a rat's behind about recycling/conservation. But at the definite risk of sounding preachy, it's this selfish "me first, and only me" attitude that will probably doom the earth. If the projections are correct about global warming, by the year 2050 people will regard "Waterworld" as a monumental documentary instead of a $300 million dollar joke. I think I'll be investing in a boat sometime in the near future... -------------------- ![]() ![]() 2002 SC430 (WC) - 19" SSR Comp-H, Daizen swaybars, Sparco Demons, JDM Soarer conversion, carbon fiber spoiler, Injen intake, front strut bar, drilled/slotted Brembo rotors 1997 Celica ST (DD) - 17" ADR, ViS Zyclone CF hood, ViS CF hatch, K&N intake, Invader body kit |
