Everything else on the interior is fine, but due to the grain on the side supports, the seats have gotten a bit dirty/grody...any cleaning recommendations you guys use?

Some car wash places have upholstery cleaners over where the vacuums are. I've always used these, with a pretty good degree of success. You could lightly Spray 'n Wash the seats, let it set for about ten minutes, then use the upholstery cleaner. It's a foam shampoo stuff that is basically a dry foam - you scrub it in with the brush thing and then vacuum it up. Works great. Thanks, I'll probably try this! i took the whole seat apart and washed it by hand. couple of members have done it to. there is a how to sticky on how to take the seats apart. Don't have the time/energy/need to do this, they're not that bad. I found Scotch-Gard uphostery cleaner worked very well for me after I bought my car (former owner was a smoker). Follow the directions carefully and you should be good, plus it doesn't take nearly as long to dry as a detailer's version. Actually, I ended up using the Scotch-Gard after the detailer failed to do a good job -- my seats were certainly wet, but the car wasn't particularly well-cleaned. Thanks man! |
