I have a question that has been bugging me. When I re-did my suspension, the springs could be put into the strut without being compressed. Now I know that lowering springs are supposed to be shorter in height, so is it supposed to be like this? It's fine when the cars weight is on the springs, but it just doesn't seem right to me.

It has me stumped.

It's normal. The only way around it is to fit shocks with a shorter travel. But, if you're worried, wirelock them in place.
