I have a question that has been bugging me. When I re-did my suspension, the springs could be put into the strut without being compressed. Now I know that lowering springs are supposed to be shorter in height, so is it supposed to be like this? It's fine when the cars weight is on the springs, but it just doesn't seem right to me.
It has me stumped. |

Wire locking, normally used on aircraft, etc, to stop bolts/nuts being able to undo through vibration. It's basically stainless steel wire. You can "tie" the springs top & bottom to the seats to prevent them from moving/unseating when the car is jacked up.
