hey guys. i've started sanding down my 16 inchers, and im getting closer to actually painting them. once i paint them i cant turn back.
im having some last minute thoughts. this is how they look btw http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y127/DustinLD/100_6274.jpg before the cleaning and sanding began obviosly. i picked up a few cans of duplicolor bronze wheel paint. but im starting to have second thoughts. my car is a white hatchback with a complete SS-III body kit. i dont know if i want to paint them black or bronze..... i would appreciate any input and comments. |

bronze would deff look clean on an all white car black is a little too off imo i'd have to say i do like bronze more as a whole, but sometimes if it doesnt flow with the car (like too dark of a bronze or too light) it just looks weird. i feel theres less of a risk with black as most people cant really see a difference in different kinds of black. my problem is black is that i dont really want my wheels black since the tires are black. its just too much black to me. Go with the bronze. See if you like it before you put the lacquer on.... If you don't you can just paint over it ![]() (it will look great btw ![]() this is actually a really good idea. it wont be too late to turn back then. thanks for the tip i will take this into consideration =] shoot again with silver.......then mask off the lip and the insides of the spokes. shoot black on the face and inside the tire. ![]() you cant go wrong with black rims with chrome lips. but i think it wouldnt look good on the rims i have since the spoke connects too close to the outside of the rim. chrome lips look better when the spokes are deeper in. IMO bronze rims are Fugly. ![]() But IDK what your color scheme is. I've seen the white on white, and it' looks pretty clean IMO. But that's just my .02 cents. i actually considered this alot when picking color. white on white does looks bad ass most of the time. my problem is having to clean them probably every 2 weeks. lol but yeah thanks for the input guys. its hard tho becuase i cant find more then a few picturs of white celicas with painted rims. |
