What is considered 6th Gen related?
Obviously OEM 6th Gen parts are, but what about things that can be used on a 6th Gen? Is a universal O2 sensor related? It can be used on one. What about a case of Royal Purple engine oil? How about a Mustang 70mm TB? It's not for a 6th Gen at all, but it can be used on an aftermarket sidefeed manifold for a 3SGTE swap... The reason I'm asking isn't to be facetious, I would like this seriously considered because I would like to put some tools up FS here. I originally put them in OT [I thought it belonged there, my fault], but they apparently don't belong there. They aren't directly for a 6th Gen, but are definitely usable on one. Tools in question. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=60135 Your thoughts on this are welcome; I would like to sort this out. ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

Yet another thing that really bugs me about 6gc. None of the input from members is ever taken into consideration. Its all "my way or the highway". That is completely untrue. This site has evolved so much over the years due to the input from members. You haven't been around much lately, Coomer. We've had people bring up issues with the site or things they would like to see change/evolve and those ideas are always greeted with a " if you don't like it, leave", followed by a quick lock of the thread. I'm sure that you might be an open minded guy, but keep in mind that things look differently from the point of view of someone who visits the site once a day vs someone who visits the site once a month. QUOTE Also, why doesn't this rule make absolutely no sense to you? Keep in mind 6GC is a sixth gen. Celica website. And what would you suggest? The guy is trying to sell some wrenches and a compression tester. Whats the harm in that? Those are two items that I personally think every 6gc owner should have. Trying to micro moderate the f/s forum into things that do/don't apply to the 6gc is silly and quite frankly, doesn't make any sense. I can understand you not wanting this forum to become a flea market for someones baseball card collection, but a compression tester is far from that. Instead of sticking to the 6gc parts only rule... I think you should revise it to "car stuff". This is the only car site I have ever been to that wouldn't let someone sell a compression tester and some wrenches.
