Okay, so i currently have the palm treo 700w for Verizon. Ive been looking into the Blackberry curve for quite some time now and recently went to Verizon to purchase it. Only to find out that i have to get a data plan along with it. This was said about all the Blackberry's that they have. My question is, is there any way around it? Some of my buddies have the curve for at&t and they don't have to purchase a dataplan. They told me that since the blackberries run off a broadband network, even for calls, a dataplan must be purchased. I dont understand how the same phone for a different carrier doesnt run on the same broadband network. So, does anybody here have a blackberry for verizon WITHOUT a dataplan?
