I just installed a short ram intake for my st (i bought the tubing from a guy on here) and when i turned the car on it started making a loud whooshy tin noise, almost like there was a leak but i went back and tightened the clamps twice. any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Yeah, that's pretty much what it sounds like. I guess i was expecting something nicer. Does anyone know if the weapon-r dragon intake sounds less "tin-e"? Thanks for the help guys, and the video
EDIT: For some reason, unbeknownst to me, the metalish sound in idle has gone away and only pokes its head out around 1200 rpm's, i also took it on a test drive and it sounds great. no problems anymore, thanks again for the help everyone This post has been edited by circuscatch85: Jul 25, 2008 - 8:00 PM |
