 Strange bolt in the trunk, Anyone know what it is for? |

Hi!
I found a bolt that sticks up through my carpet in the trunk, does anyone know what it's for and if it's safe to remove it? (carpet removed in the picture!  )

Yeah. Ground. Why someone chose that exact spot, I have no idea.
