How's your mileage this summer? Options

I decided to pay close attention to my mileage this week.
I'm driving a 94 GT 5-Speed.

I don't really go over 70-80 on the highway..but I drive
"peppy" on the surface roads (can't help but have fun in
the Celica)..

I'm getting about 280 a tank. With recent plugs, wires,
rotor, cap, distributor.

How's your mileage this summer and how do you drive?

i have a block heater.. it's just that my parents think it's a waste of electricity if i leave it on overnight (i can agree to that). they say turning it on in the morning a couple of hours before i leave is ok.. and when i park at the university, i park at the 'cheap' far lot with no power available.

oh yeah, btw we get much harsher winters than you..

i love snow... i just hate the cold.

OOH wait there, I will not argue with you, but last winter here was the worst ever! I had no blower and no place to put all my snow, it was insane!

Buy a timer for the block heater (I guess you have that already ), 2 hours of pre-heating proably only costs like .20 $ of power.
